According to the clients’ needs, the team is given responsibilities at different stages of planning to realize projects.

The team carries out site surveys and pre- development analyzes, which include the verification of relevant urban and environmental standards, and the identification of specific constraints at each site (such as legal, environmental, etc.).

During the project design stage, our professionals propose site plans and provide viable solutions to issues on the targeted territory. Innovative landscaping is used to promote seamless project integration, showcase sites and enhance the customer experience to be more user-friendly. In addition, many of the projects developed with these large retailers aim for LEED certification for the construction and development of the site. The Fahey et associés team is able to develop sustainable solutions for water surface management and incorporate indigenous plants that will survive the particularly challenging conditions present at commercial sites.

Subsequently, the team is responsible for preparing applications for regulatory amendments, minor variances, PIIA approval, and permit applications required for development projects. The team also submits these applications to municipal authorities and, in some cases, participates in negotiations and development agreements between the retailer and the municipality. In order to complete the projects within the agreed deadlines, Fahey et associés also follows-up with the client, professionals (architects, engineers, signage companies, etc.) and municipality. To date, our firm has completed several hundred projects of this type.
